i'm BACK, which means my laptop has revived! :D

hello, vivian actually sat on a ROLLER COASTER. kumba at busch gardens. its friggin huge, okay. maybe smaller than kraken at seaworld. but still, bigger than hulk and dragons at
universal.

it felt so surreal. when i opened my eyes at the top of the loop, twas like watching a video screen. the feeling is kind of amazing too. i stopped screaming halfway because i was so out of breath from all the gushing wind and pressure. my hands went totally limp halfway too because i held my harness too damn tightly.

it's not too bad though. i wanna go on one again. X) maybe hulk and dragons next.

there's a fucking crazy roller coaster in busch gardens, called the sheikra. how crazy is it? it goes 90 degress downwards for 200 feet. now thats one coaster i will never take.

we're onto our last few weeks here at orlando, so we're trying to go everywhere we've yet to go. damn, time flies. havent shopped enough at all the outlets and malls, haven't bought a single souvenir, haven't had enough fun at all the parks, havent havent havent.

vivian is hopefully going to watch cleveland cavs vs orlando magic game 6 live at amway arena this saturday. IF MAGIC LOSES TONIGHT! they're onto 4th quater last 4 plus minutes, and the cavs are leading 94 to 93. much as i support magic, please please lose. i wanna watch the match! *crosses fingers*

meiyin has been quite close with her dragons people. they like to drive her out to good, expensive japanese food. so she's had very fulfilling, fun filled meals, but is basically broke. hahahaha. okay well so am i. i spent US$27 at a sushi fast food store, sushiology. -_-

justina has been picking up extra shifts to earn more bucks. so she's been busy being a canadian mounty at ripsaw falls. so much so that she slept talked, "single riders here!" few nights ago. i totally sat up and laughed.

we recently had a casting in a universal studios singapore commercial shooting! it was quite an interesting experience. we were cast as extras, walking in the background, sitting at random places in restaurants and taking jurassic park and the mummy over and over for the camera. so if any of you see any universal studios commercial on teevee, look out for our faces in the back. lol. it was fun, meiyin had to sit jurassic park 4 times (and act scared of the dinos lol), and i had to take mummy 4 times. screamed till my voice went bad the next day.

okay thats it. gotta work tomorrow. the cavs are leading 109 to 100, theres 41 secs left! yesyesyesyes.

justina went surfing yesterday.

justina and meiyin watched 17 again sometime ago at the theatres, me and meiyin watched xmen last night. theatres here are damn cool. you just buy one ticket, and you can spree as many movies as you want. so we watched wolverine (gambit ftw btw) and ghosts of girlfriends past last night.

we're going to seaworld next wednesday, again. thats gonna be like my 3rd visit there. they'll take kraken again, and i'll have to sit outside for an hour taking their bags. OH LORD WHY AM I SO AFRAID OF HEIGHTS. :(

oh and their new roller coaster, manta mania just opened. great, 2 hours of wait! =\

tiffany looi can draw really well.

oh, vivian's laptop crashed. darn. quote jennifer; sian dao lao sai!

i'm working hell's shift today, 5pm to 1am. thank god uncle robert is gonna send me home. :)

hello. in our disappearance from the world wide web these 2 - 3 weeks, we did many things.

we collected beads at the last mardi gras parade.

we shopped at walmart for groceries.

we celebrated my birthday. meiyin justina isaac delene and yanhan gave me a shock in the middle of the night. (YES meiyin and justina, you two are the bestest, most genius!)

we went shopping.

we went to sea world.

meiyin likes to snooze in the early morning and i end up waking up with her(this morning, before her) even though i start work pretty late, because her alarm is a loud, blasting, annoyingly cheerful tone. ARGHHHHHHH.

and meiyin cant stand that i finish my soup when i eat my maggi mee. "ITS FULL OF MSG VIVIAN!!!" exclaims meiyin.

justina.... well, she sleep talks nearly every night. almost everyone in the international group knows that already. lol.

hello!

yeah its me again, face it, meiyin and justina will never blog. meiyin watches drama whenever she has free time, and all justina does is laze on the couch in front of the tv. =\

we've more or less settled down to life here. funny how it is, that we only need 3 weeks to adapt to an entirely new life. work is almost everyday, the most we get is 2 days off in a week, but now that its spring break, the parks are packed like shit. so everyone's signing up for OT!

its really quite tiring. on our off days, all we wanna do is lie around at home and slack. haven't had to the time to go out shopping again. =\

me and meiyin attended another mardi gras parade with new friends last week. this time we camped in front of the street and screamed and snatched beads like crazy. it was really mad and fun. shouting and hollering and screaming for the people on the floats to throw their beads at us. snatching other people's beads.

me and meiyin only caught 10 each in the end. losers lah. midori and stacy both had nearly 20 each! they're second timers. lol. this weekend i'm gonna snatch somemore. :D

things we have to do when we find the time and energy to;

1) shop at florida mall
2) shop at PRIME
3) visit millenia mall
4) find no. 1 oriental supermart and buy asian groceries
5) go to walmart to stock up on supplies
6) visit busch garden
7) visit sea world
8) visit disney again!
9) go back to chinatown for a hearty asian meal

with regards to no. 9, we recently went to chinatown located at downtown orlando, that place really is just 2 streets with a lot of thai/vietnam shops, thats all. -_- but anyway, we found a treasure trove there. its an authentic chinese cuisine shop, with fried rice, shao la, wantons, etc etc etc, much like crystal jade in singapore. the price is quite reasonable too.

we ate so happily in there that day, the shop owners(who were chinese and spoke cantonese) smiled.

oh shit, justina just announced that the toilet bowl spoiled. T_T

hello. i'm blogging again because meiyin and justina exclaimed loudly that they're both toooo busy to even look at the blog when i complained that they didnt care about the blog. :(

this week has been really hectic for all of us cuz we started work officially, and its bloody hell SPRING BREAK now. that means all hell break loose.

this place is getting really really interesting. women with fake boobs who wear skimpy clothes walking around in cold weather. crazy gangsters who shout "hey bitches!" as they drive pass in the car. many many more. :)

time passed really fast last time when we worked at sushi tei... but here, oh my fish, time ZOOOOMS pass lah. the crowd and the queue.... is the same from opening till closing. it never subsides, it never gets any less the whole entire day. i'm really amazed by the crowd.

justina slimmed down dramatically! =D

meiyin claims that she's the roller coaster queen, she's been taking dueling dragons (the scariest roller coaster in universal) a lot.
soo, we had an off day on friday, and we went to DISNEY WORLD.

yesterday night, we went to a universal for the mardi gras festival. so anyway mardi gras is a festival thats celebrated god-knows-where, and they brought it to universal. every saturday theres parades and special concerts, and people throw bead necklaces to the crowds from the parade floats, and you gotta just grab em and collect as many beads as possible round your neck. and of course, its another excuse for americans to drink. -_-

and the special concert yesterday was kelly clarkson! boy oh boy there were lots of people. people who came as early as 9AM when the concert only starts at 9PM! by the time we got there at night, the area in front of the stage was already squeezed like mad. we managed to climb over the fence secretly. =\

justina bought turkey leg yesterday. mad big thing.

things are getting tougher by the day. we're starting to split up into our individual tasks and postings, seeing the competition, facing unfamiliarities.

things are so much harder to do without your friends by your side. =/

hmm and its getting quite busy too. never seems to be a time where theres nothing to do. theres chores, we gotta cook, then theres groceries to get, trash to throw out, yada yada blah blah.

we got to go around the park! took some rides here and there...

the parks are amazing. really, simply amazing.

i cant imagine leaving orlando without having caught all the roller coasters. how many people dream of coming to UO for the rides? i'm all the way here and i dont even dare to get on them. sooooo. i need to mentally prepare myself for getting on them. *gulps*

its getting super duper cold here, even though its supposed to be nearer to summer now. and today, it finally RAINED! freaking uber cold lah. like, 10 times colder than genting.

crimes and accidents everywhere around us too. there was a shooting at our walmart a day ago, then a gun break in over at metrowest today, huge accident near our road in the afternoon... etc etc etc. justina is getting more and more paranoid. LOL.

today's an off day!

we went to florida mall and prime outlet.

OHMYGOD I TELL YOU THIS IS A SHOPPING PARADISE.

all of us spent hell loads today. florida mall is damn gigantic, we spent the entire afternoon there, but we only went to 3 stores. 2 full hours in forever 21. -_- the guys were flabbergasted (i think i'm overusing this word).

PRIME outlet was.... made for shopaholics. it has all the brand names factory outlets. guess, coach, espirit, gap, forever 21, kate spade, victoria secret, nike, adidas; these are only 1% of the outlets there.

justina's sleeping acts are getting worse. last night she snorted at meiyin, complained it was very cold, ignored meiyin when she told her to cover more blanket, and walked to the bathroom to blow her nose; get this, SHE DOESNT REMEMBER DOING ANY OF THOSE.

she woke up in the morning and exclaims that she had such a good sleep and didnt wake up in the middle of the night at all. o.0

okay, i'm finally here to blog something.
anyway, vivian's always blogging on time so basically everyone will roughly know how we lead the first 2 days of our life in orlando florida.

anyway,
surprisely, i'm not homesick! yet.
HAHAH..
i have no jetlag problem!
i so belong to the United States of the America.
you will be surprised, for once, MEIYIN is not complaining about wanting to sleep! i'm totally energetic as compared to the other 2 crazy girls. Justina's been drinking coffee whenever she can get her hands on one and vivian, she just basically get abit lagged like her laptop, like she just stone in the mids of our walmart shopping yesterday! HAHA..they are not thinking right. WAHAHAHA..so i'm basically owned over here!
Vivian was just telling me, "meiyin, we should just get an apartment and stay here forever! theres nothing left in Singapore that attract me to go back, i think i will just shipped kunkun here..."

so Orlando, Florida still rocks! for now.
we are all very curious and i admit that i acted like some kid or something.
i'm totally amazed by the amount and serving of the food over here. YES, everything is SUPER-SIZED/KING SIZED/FAMILY SIZED! JUST PURE BIG/LARGE/HUGE/GIGANTIC!
their pads are like pampers to us. HOHOHO~
JUST REALLY BIG!
so items are freaking cheap too!
2 hershey's cookies and cream chocolate cost only US$1!!!
cheap can. they have a large variety of instant food that are real cheap!
one thing thats bad is that, their fresh veggies and fruits are freaking EX la.
sigh, you know, i live on veggie and i greatly affected by it.
anyway, they have like 10types of apples lah.
i truely love WALMART! its BIG!

OKAY, even though theres alot of fun things in Orlando, there are some inconvenience as well! For instance, their water from the tap are not totally safe for drinking like in Singapore. Even after boiling, it taste sort of weird. So we got bottled water but we decided to save a few bucks eventually by living on the water boiled! and and the weather's quite dry here! every few minutes, you will see most of us taking out different brands of lip ice to put on our lips cos its cracking. cant stand it. but the weather is like aircon now. when the sun is in, its freaking hot.

hmm, what else to update?
OHYA! i totally looked forward to training soon! i got posted to the dueling dragons ride! its at islands of adventure and its a freaking big rollercoaster! OHMY, DAMN COOL! I WANT TO TEST RIDEEEEE! HAHAHAHAH..
everyone we met here is super helpful and nice. So we are still loving Orlando, Florida and doing great here! but still, we shouldnt let our guard down tooo. cos, there are good people, i believed there will be people who will take advantage of us too. so we willl be extra careful! all and all, we are at a totally different environment, so expect the unexpected!
Anyway, i hope everything will go well!

OKAY, justina blogs like shit! oops.

me and justina are experiencing a bit of jetlag; we get really sleepy at like 3-4pm, sleep early at 11pm, and cant sleep pass 5am. horrible, wrecked, messed up body clock. :(

meiyin...... has no problem at all. what a surprise.

AND HAHAHAHA. justina slept talk the very first night!

more like, sleep-yell. she just suddenly sat up in her bed and shouted, "its the first time i'm seeing an oak tree!"

i was flabbergasted, stared at her from my bed across meiyin (the 3 of us sleep together on 3 joint beds), and she just plopped back down and continued snoring...
meiyin didnt even wake up. totally oblivious to it. LOL.

we got our groceries yesterday from Publix (supermarket right round the corner) and Walmart (a few bus stops away). walmart is... like carrefour/giant. we were damn happy to see fresh vege there, but they cost a bomb. :(

the bus stop is pathetic, and the bus comes like one in half hour.

they had giant ice creams there. like, really, really HUGE! first thing we thought was, "andrea sure damn jealous!" LOL.

we went to Universal Orlando today for our first briefing. the culture there is fantastic!

meiyin: atttraction attendant at dueling dragons (damn big scary roller coaster)
justina: sales associate at ripsaw falls (still dunno whats that)
vivian: cook line/production at comic strip lane/cathy's

after our briefing and paperwork, we have the rest of the day off. so we went to have subway for lunch (had that both days we were here). its damn filling and cheap. foot long meal is US7, which we share between 2.

HAAA. justina is napping right now, excited about watching american idol tonight. i think we're eating porridge tonight.

it has been a long time since i blogged. Like 3 years?!

so PLEASE pardon me for my bad english!

It has been a long day! so let me describe to you our encounters here in ORLANDO!!!

On the first day in Orlando AFTER 22 hours of flying!! we finally reached the rich american soil!!

For that period of time, we did not have the energy to brush our teeth and wash up.

We had a stopover in JAPAN!! my god and the girls are damn chio (lowering my self esteem..haha) the technology there is AMAZING! (we should be ashamed!)

SO when we arrive we had like SMELLY DISGUSTING BREATH!!

(when i walked past plants, they wither INSTANTLY! INSTANT DEATH!!)

when we reached our apartment, it was like HOTEL!!

let moi introduce to you the amazing facilities we have in our apartment!!!

1) a washing room with a huge washing machine and a huge dryer! (no need to hang clothes!! HA)

2) the kitchen has a oven, HUGE fridge, DISHWASHER( i am not kidding a dishwasher)

3) we have a tv with cable of OVER 60 CHANNELS!!

4) however our aircon is faulty and the temperature is a over of 30 degrees bloody HOT!

5) our room have a work in closet with a bathroom that has a *applause* BATH TUB!!!

6) there is a gym, two swimming pools and jacuzzi!!

the next few days was exploring and orientaion!

and there is one word to describe my feeling. JETLAG.

we went to WALMART and they seriously have EVERYTHING!

everything was in SUPER SIZE.

okay i am going to sleep now!

HELLO from all 3 of us. :D

we're safely tucked into our brand new apartment,which rocks by the way. its fully carpeted, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. we're living with a guy, pierson! he takes 1 room while the 3 of us takes the other room.

the apartment is fully furnished with TV, well equipped kitchen, washing machines etc etc. LIKE HOTEL LAH!

we're going off to get groceries soon. will blog in details soon.
